New poll

Equipment poll has closed, with indiscussed victory of hand weapons preference.
It's however great to see that there's a strong preference for specialist roles and ground vehicles too, since they are essential for advancing on enemy ground.

New poll is just up to let us see what's the best time to play solo, and what's the best moment to team up. Cast your votes!

The meaning of the chronicles

It's a while since I've posted a new chronicle, but there's a reason, and it's not related with available time.

Chronicles are a way to let us remember what happens, a way to make us understand what's the right and wrong way to play, because Planetside is a complex game, and many things we learn only through trial and error.
This because Planetside is everchanging... but it's always the same, hence it's the people that make the difference, but as of lately, I've seen a lot of past errors repeated.

In particular related to the usual bunch of imbecile vs cr5s primarying TR home planets whilst vs have no benefits, and NC have all, for example, or primarying a homeplanet attacked by 20 fools, whilst there's a poplock raging on somewhere else.

500 members milestone

In barely five months, we've accomplished a feat unequalled in all of planetside, we made our way through old and decrepit outfits, which gained their respect through permanence and hours online, rather than ability, and we became the biggest and proportionally most active VS werner outfit.
We have fought for every bit of popularity and fame, especially against those letargic imbeciles that in BOOM foresaw the doom of their pathetic and wretched abuses against the game population.
On the political side, BOOM went through every possible deffamation attempt, BUT WE STAND TALL, proof that the miserable maggots that make up the most of Werner VS, CR5 population are just as useless as their attempts to bring us down.

B.O.O.M. R.O.E.: ENTER DISCIPLINE, chapter one

This is the first chapter of the outfit's rules of engagement.

Objective of this document is to clarify and extend our banner, in relation to the fact we are a no-requisites group of players who strive to have fun and play well.

B.O.O.M. is based upon the anticipated concept: we have no requisites and we are cool with solo and new players, and in relation to this we recognise the following three profiles, followed by their specific outfit roles.

    Lone-wolves:

  1. a solo player has every right to play according to his own pace/ preferred playstile.
Love-wolfin' is an essential part of planetside for those players who aim at obtaining all BRs quickly to be able to dominate the battlefield at their fullest potential, and it is furthermore a required stage to understand combat mechanics, to be able to properly cooperate with others.

16/07 runnin' around, bein' double teamed

It was pretty clear that things were going downhill since the moment I logged in: TR had just finished resecuring their first home planet, and VS lost TR vehicle benefit as a consequence.

Sure having another empire's vehicles is fun, but doing so whilst there's still benefit planets to capture... well... it's just a waste of time.

At the beginning, we were fighting a heavy battle on Searhus, but were outnumbered 10% by NC, without a real commander on the field so, since it was clear that TR would have gone for OUR home planets, I asked our people to secure Ishundar, attacked by a small NC force, and to leave Forseral, where they were being massacred by TR, to join Searhus and possibly overcome NC.
